"Do they say that?" he asked because he really didn't know if that was even a thing. "I don't like fighting though.. It's bad," he said which was odd coming from him since he tended to get into them more than most people. Physical fights were just different to verbal ones and he didn't want to be getting into them with Eli.
Kai stepped back and they made their way to the pool. It was enough time to cool down a bit and relax. He liked being around Eli and even before they got together, he still had trouble with being turned on by him. It was just easier to hide because he knew how important it was and that he just had to. Now that he didn't, it was just a little more complicated.
The pool was quiet which was good. Kai liked being able to have a little more privacy. "Of course you do," he said with a smile. "Cause I am gonna watch you like hawk," he said, just trying to put him at ease, remembering being told about the almost drowning incident. Kai was always keeping an eye on Eli just in case.

Eli shrugged, "That's what i;m told, but I don;t really know. I used to hear girls talk about it. Then again it could be a way to just console someone who had a fight with their boyfriend. Acting as if it;s a good thing, and nothing to worry about." He smiled sheepishly. He knew too much about this didn't he? "I don't ever want to fight you. I love you too much. So the key to that is to always talk things through." He smiled nudged Kai playfully.
Eli didn't realize how bad it was for Kai, he was really clueless. He never really processed it, though lately he'd started understanding him a little more. Ever since that night when Kai first arrived, sometimes Eli wasn't sure what to do. He'd feel weird when he thought about it. He didn't know how to process that feeling, and he sure as hell didn't feel comfortable fixing it either. He was going through the faze most 12 or 13 year olds go through.
Eli grinned at Kai and smiled. "Good!" He leaned up and kissed him on the lips before taking off his shirt and going way across the room to the high dive. He waved at Kai and grinned. He was still nervous, but he felt fine. Sure he was tired, but he always felt tired. He moved onto the board and walked to the edge. He felt nervous, but he trusted Kai would save him if anything bad would happen. "Saranghae," he yelled cheerfully, before jumping. HE felt a head rush as he fell towards the water, and before he knew it he was out.
The first time, he had fallen asleep, which caused him to fall in and drown. This wasn't the same. He knew he was going into the water, but as he reached it, he fell asleep. He fell into the water, and didn't wake at first, it was only until he sunk a little lower when he finally sucked in enough water to cause him to choke. He flailed under water, coughing out water and sucking it back in. He didn't know how long it was, he couldn't tell. But he eventually stopped flailing, stopped moving in general.

Kai listened and that definitely sounded like something girls would do to make themselves feel better after a fight with their boyfriends. "Yeah, that definitely sounds like something girls made up," he agreed. They didn't need the added drama though.
"I think we can do that," Kai said with a smile. Talking would be easy. They were friends after all and they were used to talking to each other. Besides, there wasn't much that Kai could keep from Eli and Eli was a very honest person so theoretically it should be easy for them.
Kai watched him go for the diving board. He walked forward slowly, keeping an eye on the boy. Kai liked swimming with Eli and the older boy was a very proficient swimmer so if anything ever did happened, he was usually quick enough to do something about it.
Kai smiled as he shouted and jumped off the diving board. He seemed pretty awake and everything looked fine. He watched him hit the water but something wasn't right. Maybe toward the end he looked more like he had fallen into it than dived into it.. Nah, maybe he was over thinking it.
He moved closer to the edge of the pool. "Eli?" he called out but the boy hadn't surfaced. "F*ck," he muttered before diving straight in and swimming with speed toward the heap in the bottom of the pool. He got there in time to see him struggle and acted quickly, grabbing him and pushing upwards fast so that Eli would get out of the water first and get some air before Kai emerged after him.
He took a quick breath and stared at Eli. He still had his hands on him and kicked to get them closer to the edge so that the boy might have something to hold on to. "You alright?" he asked looked quite concerned. []

Eli and Kai would be fine, they were both honest with each other, and so of course they would talk through things if they needed to. Of course Kai kept some things from Eli, but Eli also kept small things from him. No one was perfect, and in time Eli would tell Kai those secrets and hopefully Kai would return the favour. Until then Eli would mind his own, and be happy with the guy he liked.
Eli heard the faint sound of Kai's voice, but he didn't understand. He was lightheaded, and all he could do was continue to cough out water, and suck more back in. His lungs filling with the foul tasting water. His eyes stung, so he clenched them shut, he felt so tired, and just wanted to sleep, but at the same time he was panicking. It wasn't long until strong arms were around him pulling him to the surface. When Eli's head was out of the water he began to cough again, sucking in air, and then coughing the water out of his lungs. He didn't pay much attention to his surroundings, but soon felt the edge of the pool. He grabbed hold of it, and coughed more.
He felt like with each cough, his throat was close to coming out. Purging all that chlorine water from his lungs. He wanted to cry, but couldn't. He was still coughing, but not as much as before. Kai asked if he was okay, and Eli finally looked at him, his eyes were red from the water, and they stung. He opened his mouth to speak, but his arms felt weak, his entire body did. His muscles were beginning to fail on him. He slipped, but had enough strength and reflex to grab onto Kai, leaning against him. "C...Catap...," he slurred. He couldn't finish the word, but Kai would understand. He wasn't able to speak during a cataplexy attack, but he was neither fine, nor dead. All he wanted now, was to be in Kai's arms, out of the pool. Something said that Eli wouldn't want to be near a pool again for awhile.
( well Either way, Kai is getting lots and lots of kisses from Eli, and I get a scared Eli plus a cataplexy attack )

Kai held him there for what seemed like the longest time. It felt like forever to him, having to just stay there at the edge of the pool, not knowing if Eli was going to be okay. He knew he was because he was conscious and coughing but he wasn't sure what that meant. Had he done enough? Had he been quick enough? He couldn't help but be a little hard on himself for not acting quicker.
Kai held on tightly to him and to the edge of the pool, just keeping them both up. Eli was important to him and he would never let go. "You're gonna be okay," he told him. He was having another attack but that was okay because Kai was there and he would hold on to him until he was fine.
His body right up against Eli's, holding him up against the wall as he moved ever so slightly over to the steps, getting closer to them as he stood, foot firmly place of a step one arm holding on the Eli very carefully and the other on the bar as he pulled himself up out of the water. He moved slowly over, placing Eli very gently down of the ground and out of the water. Sitting beside him be just stared at his face, waiting for him to wake up, making sure he was still breathing..

If there was anything Eli hated more than falling asleep, it was cataplexy attacks. He wasn't asleep when he had those, but he wished he was. Nope, when he had cateplexy attacks, everything went numb. He couldn't move muscles, and his ability to talk was nothing but jumbled and slurred words. He was completely limp and all he could do was stare. Though this time Eli just closed his eyes, they stung from the water.
He could tell they were moving, and all he wanted to do was hug Kai tightly, but his arms wouldn't work. His breathing was steady, like he was asleep. He was happy to be out of the water, and just laying on the ground. He waited for a few more minutes before trying to move again. His arm twitching. He opened his eyes and blinked a little, they were still red. He tried to move more, and the numbness went away. He smiled to himself, glad it was over. Then he noticed Kai's eyes.
Eli leaned up grimacing at how weak he still felt, but he didn't care. He moved closer to Kai and hugged him. Kissing his shoulder, then his neck. He had his hands on Kai's face and looked him in the eyes, his own brown ones filling with tears. "You kept your promise," He croaked softly, his voice was half gone from coughing. He smiled softly before kissing him softly. Kai kept him safe, he didn't fail at anything. If he had, Eli would be lifeless at the bottom of that pool.

Kai just sat there beside him and stared at the boy with a very serious look on his face. Eli was breathing so he had to be fine but now Kai was just waiting for him to wake up and waiting to know that he was okay. He just hoped that he had done enough. It was all he could do while Eli was out like this.
Eli did wake up though and he did move toward Kai which was fine. He just wanted to know that the boy was going to be okay.. And then he hugged him and Kai just held him there because it felt like he was still a bit weak from the attack and Kai didn't want him to fall back down and hurt himself.
He couldn't tell if those were tears forming or if it was just the water irritating his eyes but Eli spoke and Kai just listened for a moment. He was filled with relief and just held the boy close. "Of course I did," he said like it was to be expected. Kai was the kind of guy who didn't often make promises but when he did, he was serious about them and he kept them, especially to Eli. "I'm just glad you're okay," he told him. He didn't know what he would do without him.

Eli liked this, being in Kai's arms, it was often repeated, that thought. The thought of 'I love this. I don;t want it to stop.' He loved Kai, so of course that made sense. He rested for a moment. He stared at Kai with tear filled eyes, letting a few drops fall down his cheeks. A small smiled on his lips. He pressed his forehead against Kai's and closed his eyes. Wrapping his arms around the other's neck.
Eli chuckled slightly, "Of course you did," he repeated Kai's words with a smile. He knew Kai would save him if he needed the saving. He trusted the guy. Sometimes though, Eli would get thoughts of how he wished he wasn't so needy. How maybe Kai would be tired of having to watch over him, but those thoughts were in the back of his head right now. Right now he was just thankful for Kai.
Eli smiled and kissed Kai's cheek. "And that's all thanks to you." If Kai hadn't saved him, Eli surely wouldn't be okay. He'd be pretty dead. He opened his eyes again, and sighed. "Can we...not be in here? I don;t like it very much anymore." And he probably wouldn't like it for a long time. He was okay with anywhere but the pool. "To your room?" Maybe they could play a movie, who knew. Eli just wanted to not be here.

There were a few tears but the boy looked fine so Kai had to assume that he was in fact okay. Kai just held him close and tightly. He wouldn't let go of him until he knew he was fine and right now Eli just looked like he needed to be close to him so that was what he was gonna get.
Kai just kept looking at him as though wanting to make sure he really was okay and that there wasn't anything else he could do to help. He felt incredibly responsible for Eli because he had mad ea promise to him to keep him safe and Kai always kept his promises.
"sure," he said, "we can go anywhere you want," he told him. He smiled and the suggestion and nodded before standing up and holding a hand out to Eli. He was more than happy to hang out in his room instead

Eli smiled at Kai, excited to go back to his room, though he still remembered that night vividly, so even the thought of his room gave him small shivers. His cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. Unlike Kai, Eli was new to all this. He took the others hand and smiled as they walked back to the dorms.
Eli walked out of the small bathroom in the dorm, wearing one of Kai's old soccer shirts and a pair of baggy sweatpants. His hair was in a ruffled mess. He could never control it when it was drying. His dark roots were starting to show. Something you wouldn't expect. that such a strict grandfather allowed him to dye his hair, but really his grandfather was somewhat powerless at times.
He smiled sheepishly at Kai, wearing his clothes was comfy, but they were still a lot bigger on him than his normal clothes. Not that he cared, baggy was very comfy. "How do I look?" He asked jokingly, striking a pose.
His computer was set up on a stand in front of Kai's bed, and he smiled at Kai, it looked all cuddly and warm. Just what Eli needed. He made his way over to Kai and got onto the bed hugging him. They had Eli's Netflix and a movie had just started. The title said Moui. It took place in Vietnam, but the main characters were Korean journalists.
He hugged Kai closer, he hated horror movies, but loved them at the same time. When the people spoke Vietnamese Korean subtitles came up. Now Eli was pretty good at hearing and understanding, it was the speaking and the reading that he had trouble with. so he leaned in to try to read it more, when the scene changed and a loud noise happened on the screen. He jumped and whined. He curled into Kai and pouted. "Hyung~" He whined out softly, using the as one could call it, Korean pet name. Eli was being cute, but who knew, maybe that cuteness would turn into something else.

Kai was just chilling on the bed, leaning back comfortably against the headboard and playing a game on his psp while he waited for Eli to come back out. He smirked when he saw it. "You look like you're wearing hand me downs," he said with a smile, but at least he was honest. It was all just a little bit too big for the blonde boy.
He gladly put the psp on the bedside table when Eli came toward him. He hugged the boy, holding him close. It was nice just having him there but just holding him make Kai want to do so much more. He did have self-control though, at least in situations that involved Eli.
Kai loved horror movies. They never scared him. Sure the surprise moments could catch him off guard but he tended to just laugh about it. Nothing on a screen seemed to actually scared the guy, mostly because he knew that one of it was real. Sure, things like that probably happened some where else in the world but unless he was in that situation himself, it didn't bother him.
Eli got scared though and Kai was aware of that. It was why he was holding him close. Eli jumped at one of the scenes but Kai was still watching it in its entirety. He held the boy close with both arms this time because he was very obviously scared. Kai still watched but had one arm around Eli and the other stroking his hair gently to calm him. He had actually missed what the boy had said but because of all the Korean, he switched back to the language without even realizing. "Don't be scared," he whispered quietly in Korean.

Eli glared at Kai's comment for a moment before sticking out his tongue. "Well knowing you were in these clothes before me makes me looking silly just fine with me." One of the shoulders slid down a little, but not much. He tugged it up and sighed. "Seriously why are you so big? I mean you tower over your parents." Eli shook his head. "Almost like you randomly got those genes out of no where. I however inherited my mothers shortness, and dainty looks," He pouted, jealous of how much bigger Kai was than him. Though in a lot of ways it was a nice thing. Eli hugged him back as they got comfortable. He snuggled close to Kai, loving everything about it. He could sit here and soak up his warmth, and smell his scent, though it had a faint smell of chlorine, he didn't mind though.
Eli was scared of horror movies, no matter how much he liked watching them. He didn't really know why they scared him so much, they just did. Even so, he'd never turn one down. The only horror movies that didn't scare him much were American ones, they never got the horror down as much as Japan or Korea. Though maybe it was the fact that those were legends from Asian cultures, and they just knew how to hit the right spots with them.
Kai calmed him down, the stroking of his hair, the Korean words, that always soothed him. It was strangely calming to hear Kai speak in the language. He smiled softly and hid his face into Kai's shoulder, ignoring the movie now. He tried to think of what to do. He did the first thing that came to mind, with his mouth pressed against Kai's collar bone, he bit it playfully. Seriously it was just a 'i'm frikken-scared-so-i'm-doing-whatever-I-can-to-distract-me-from-this-movie-deal-with-it.' kind of thing.

Kai smiled at that. "Alright," Kai said accepting that. He grinned when the shirt slipped down. "You know what? Maybe I do like you in my clothes," he said with a grin. It was kind of hot in a way.
Kai just shrugged at the question but looked away in thought. Kai nodded at that. He couldn't disagree. They were Korean but the similarities seemed to stop there. His parents really weren't that tall but his biological parents probably were.. He couldn't be sure but it would make sense.
He hadn't told Eli before but they were dating now so maybe it'd be alright if he knew? "It's probably because I was adopted," he said quietly, part of him hoping to just shrug it off and maybe Eli wouldn't even notice.
Kai happily held him close but was still watching the movie. He loved the horror. Kai gasped a little when Eli bit down. His fingers pressed lightly against the boy's skin and he shifted a little, getting a little turned on by it but not wanting to be too obvious about it.

Eli smirked. "Of course you do. You should like anything on me." He stuck out his tongue. He could admit it himself, He enjoyed the whole wearing Kai's clothing thing. It was a little sexy.
Eli didn't say anything at first, it was kind of shocking to hear that. He wasn't bothered, or weirder out by it. He understood why Kai wouldn't tell him something like that yet, though he didn't know how long Kai knew it. He just hugged him and looked all worried Like Eli did when he thought someone was upset. "Are you mad about that?" It was a good question. Finding out you're adopted causes many reactions.
Eli wasn't paying attention to the horror movie anymore. He noticed the gasp and the shift in position, and a little grin spread across his face. He wasn't going to let that slip. He leaned into Kai's neck and bit again, kissing, and trailing up. Slowly kissing and biting up his neck. A giggle escaping his lips, but not a normal Eli giggle. He went towards Kai's ear lobe, tugging on it with his teeth, and moved to his jaw. Eli was being relentless right now, all because he wanted to see his reaction. He kissed and nibbled at Kai's Jaw, before moving up and pecking him on the lips. A certain grin crossing his lips.

"I'd like things off you even more," he siad with a playful smirk. Eli actually hugged him and looked worried but that was fairly normal for Eli. They were alays concerned about each other. That had always been normal for them so Kai jsut hugged back. "Not really," he said, "Just wish I had always known," he siad but then he could understand why they didn't want to tell him. They tried so hard to get a kid, why would they risk losing him. He knew him mom was afraid that he would want to go find his biological mom. She was afraid of losing her place in his life because his parents did actually love him and care alot about him and Kai knew that. It was why he was okay with them not telling him sooner.
Kai couldn't help it. He was trying to hide it but a soft moan escaped him when Eli bit his neck. There was a whole list of things he wanted to do to him right now and usually not much could distract Kai from a good horror movie but this certain did a good job of it.
He pulled Eli in against him. His hips moved and he pulled Eli on top of him, wanting even more contact. "You.. should probably stop that," he said.. unless Eli wanted things to escalate because self-control was something Kai had a lot of the time but he couldn't be sure he would stop this time.
