Roman sighed a little as she sat at their little kitchen table watching her four year old son messily devour his breakfast - beans on toast. She pulled a slight face at the sight before focusing in stead on the glass of water in front of her, sipping at it. She was struggling again with food. It was okay when she was working, normally, and she could handle cooking Egg's meals - but it was the idea of eating that food herself. Don't get me wrong, she is better and she's still trying to be better and healthy, it's just hard. Especially after the split from Noah and being left with Egg - even if Egg was the healthier of her two children. Not that her behaviour while pregnant with Egg had been that much better.
She sighed a little to herself and Egg stopped eating to look at her curiously, "Mama?" the boy questioned, wondering if his mother was perhaps still tired. She shook her head at him. "Just eat your breakfast then we'll go to the park." she nodded as she stood and made her way to the sink before looking at the time. Yes, she wasn't due at work today until one in the afternoon and since it was only half-past eight she felt like they had a half hour or so before she had to take him to nursery. "Remember, I've got work today so you go home with Tommy after okay?" she reminded the small blonde who nodded eagerly, eating once more eager to finish and go to the park.
Eventually the boy finished and climbed down. Hearing that Roman moved, picked up his plate and made quick work of the dishes, "go get your things then." she smiled to him, glancing once to make sure he was doing what he was told before focusing on the task on hand. Once that was done and Egg had returned she helped him into his shoes and coat before doing the same to herself and picking up his little backpack. Today Egg's outfit was blue jeans, red and white mini-converse and a t-shirt with cars on it - and his thomas the tank engine jacket on for warmth. His backpack was Lightning McQueen from Cars.
Roman's outfit was just as simple as her sons. Also opting for converse - her own matching red pair - she seemed to be aiming for comfort today. On her legs she wore simple black leggings and on her top half a short red dress with white hems and a little white bow just below her collar. Her jacket was pure white with little black buttons. She adjusted her clothes to make sure they were neat before smiling to Benedikt, Egg as he's more commonly known. "Let's go!" she grinned, taking his hand as she lead him down to the park - just two streets from their apartment and on the way to both Egg's nursery and the cafe she worked in. "Park! Park! Park!" Egg was chanting gleefully as they walked.
Roman chuckled softly at the boy, her laughter stopping only when his chanting did as they reached their destination. In less than a second Egg had pulled away, darting off for the slide. Roman rolled her eyes and sighed before moving and sitting on a bench to watch him carefully. She glanced around a few times, aware that no one else was here apart from a couple of kids older than Egg who were slowly making their way to school. She sighed a little and shook her head, fixing her attention on her son wanting to make sure he didn't get hurt.
