Sam sat in a booth near the door. It was a quiet Sunday morning, just the way he liked it. Busy cities never appealed to him. Having lived in Sydney for a few years, Sam could easily tell you he couldn't live there permanently. As nice as it was, he preferred a town that was just a little quieter. He lived to live at his own pace and take his time with things. Everything in a big city just seemed rushed, like he was living on a deadline and that just wasn't him. He swirled his coffee around with the spoon, trying to cool it down a little while making sure the sugar didn't sink down to the bottom of the cup. In front of him was breakfast. Sam would usually make it himself but today he just felt like getting out and the diner made some good food. It was bacon and eggs with some toast on the side, nothing fancy. Sammy didn't do fancy. Nice and simple worked just fine for him. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it', was what helped his choice in breakfast foods. He had a couple more bites, staring out the window at the people going past. It was a nice morning but the man was a little tired. He had worked the last shift last night and wasn't entirely sure why he was up and having breakfast at 9am. He only fell into bed at 4am. 4 hours of sleep then a nice hot shower in the morning.. It was an early start but Sam had the urge to do something productive with his time.. And he would too.. As soon as he figured out what that was. Outfit 1

school always gave the blonde a major headache. so she skipped. of course the moment she left the gates, she felt horrible. belle was always up at six for her morning run. she liked running outside of the school. she said hi to the guards and gave them baked goods. but she lied when she said she would be back. after her run she got a hotel room and showered. after putting on the dress and heels she hid in her bag, belle was off to explore.
she seemed to have been judged when she was out here before. now she looked normal and students were in class. all the nineteen year old wanted was to be normal again. she desperatly wanted to be normal. her stomach growled as she walked down the street and she made her way into the diner.
upon entering, she found it wasnt too busy but busy enough. belle felt eyes on her and swore she heard whispering. she didnt want to be alone and her eyes spotted a man alone. she sat across from him like she belonged there. "sorry im late," she said loud enough for others to hear. then her voice lowered for him only. "can you pretend to know me?" she felt strange asking this question but she hoped he'd say yes. "i just want to be normal." her tone was soft and sad while her eyes held fear an desperation. she looked into his eyes, her bottom lip out in a small pout. she was willing him to allow her to stay.

This town was new enough to Sammy. Couple months and he had done alright so far. Before this, he was in Atlanta then traveled down to a couple of different places. He spent a little time in each, just trying to find what fits. There was only one place he avoided. The place he started in. Atlanta was great unless you had people you were trying to avoid, or perhaps just one person in particular.
He glanced up, seeing a girl enter. She was beautiful but it seemed a lot of people here were. He said said nothing but glanced back, seeing a few people watching her. What were they thinking? She was just a girl? Was he missing something? For second, he felt like he was out of the loop but his thoughts were temporarily disrupted by a voice and the very girl in question sitting down right in front of him.
Sammy stared blankly for a moment. What did he do, forget a breakfast date? Unlikely. 'Can you pretend to know me?'. It was an odd request but it felt almost like some kind of spy movie. "Sure," he said, having another bite of his eggs. It would be easy enough for him to just sit there and carry on with his breakfast.
"Normal?" he asked, well that was different again. "Are you saying you're not?" He asked, flashing her that famous smile. She seemed normal enough to him but then what did he know? He didn't pay attention to the town's gossip or even the local news. They could be known for kidnaps and murders and he wouldn't even know it.
To him it looked like a normal enough place with some big school just on the edge of it. Nothing out of the ordinary here.. At least as far as he could see. He watched the woman come back with her note pad to see if the girl might want to order anything. Just the way she was looking at the girl was different. Sam had his fork up but stopped an inch away from sliding it into his mouth. "Is something wrong?" he asked, in that same non-specific but not American accent. "Oh no dear," the woman said sweetly to him with a warm smile. He was always such a nice boy and she had absolutely no problems with him. She glanced back at the girl, asking what she could get her.
