all through the day cassie just couldnt concentrate on anything at all because her thoughts were jumbled. jumbled with the words exchanged online with thane. she told him personal details about her life before pinewood. about her fear of being like her mother. the day she gave up her innocense. thanes words about not caring rang freely through her head. she wanted to try that but she was still far too dependent on relationships with others. his answer to her question didnt resonate meaning. it seemed more like an answer that you gave someone who was in a fragile state.
so not only was she jumbled but she was sad as well. sad she lost a friend. well a potential one. sad that she told this person far too much. she was far to down to even pretend properly and got stuck having to eat. her stomach hurt the rest of her school day. she was more than relieved when the bell rang.
both distracted by her thoughts and pain, she didnt realize when she went into the wrong restroom. she ran right to the stall. sick. the sudden intake of all that food wasnt sitting well with her stomach. which was why she ended up vomitting into the toilet. after flushing, she left the stall to wash her face. it was after the cool water hit her face that she realized where she was. eyes wide she tried to figure out her escape. but it was too late. the door was opening. she was stuck.

[[Hope you don't mind but I'ma sayin he was already in there.. Hope that's okay, it just works out funnier that way]]
Thane's week hadn't been so bad. His past had been a scattered mess of scars, blood and pain. The last four years had been a vast improvement, a miracle even. He was grateful for the change but things like that weren't meant to last.
He was still in his senior year but he had turned eighteen and couldn't live with his foster parents anymore. He didn't even try to take Ryan back. He knew the boy was better off growing up with them but Thane would still be around. He would always be there for the boy, something his own parents never did.
He was in the bathroom at the urinal when he heard the door open and caught a glimpse of someone rushing into one of the stalls. Thane looked over hearing the familiar sound of something being sick.
She came out and moved straight to the sink, probably not seeing him there. He watched her for a second with a smirk. The girl was obviously in the wrong place and he doubted she even realized it or just felt too sick to care.
"If you wanted to see it, you could have just asked," he joked, zipping up his jeans and moving over to wash his hands. He was still amused by the fact that she was in there in the first place. "Are you alright?" he asked, trying not to sound concerned but it came out anyway in his tone.

the school was a decent size and she hoped that she wouldnt have to see the who knew. knew more than she wanted him too. cassie prayed to never see that face. never again. but like many of her prayers, they werent answered.
she was staring into the vaguely familiar face. her face was red with embarassment. "hi!!" her words were falsely chipper and her smile far too wide. she looked ill but she was trying to play it off. the young girl didnt want people to know why she was here. but he knew.
she was scared he'd tell someone that she wasnt innocent like they believed. his words caused a lump to rise in her throat. she swallowed before speaking. "i didnt want to see that!" her tone was still far too chipper as she spoke. "thats for loser."
"im fine!" she hated lying but she didnt want him to feel obligatec to take care of her. "just ate something bad i guess." she shrugged and avoided eye contact. her concious was already telling her to speak and she knew shed blur. her actual disorder was the only thing he didnt know. she positive he would hate her if he knew everything.
"how are you?" she was turning the conversation onto him. much like she did in normal situations.

Thane usually got straight to the point. He saw things for what they were and wasn't afraid to point out the obvious, except when it was about him. If it was him, he tended to guard his secrets with his life. He didn't sharing, it was what made group sessions so dull. The guy would end up rolling his eyes at the stupid things people were sharing and just looking utterly disinterested. He had been through a hell of a lot but the last four years was like Karma trying to make up for it. It never would of course but it got pretty damn close. Close enough for him to never want to complain about his life because he knew just how bad it could get and right now, it just wasn't bad.
He washed his hands and dried them, looking over at the girl who had clearly just been sick. It wasn't clear to him why she was here.. Maybe it had something to do with her odd behavior and those trains.. There were a couple of students who acted like kids but then maybe that was normal for them? Who knew.
The poor girl was no doubt embarrassed but Thane stayed pretty calm as he leaned against the wall, arms crossed as he watched her. He didn't think it was a big deal. This sort of thing happened, there wasn't anything too wrong with it. It was just an accident, she was in a hurry and mistakes could be made. No harm was done.
She said hi and it made him unconsciously recoil a little. His expression was cross between annoyance, concern and fear. What the hell just happened? Maybe she was possess by something out of the last horror film? It sure looked like it. He relaxed a nanosecond after it happened though, barely noticeable.
"So I'm a loser?" He asked, still unsure of whether he was annoyed or amused by her constantly asserting that anything sexual made a person a loser. He didn't like it. In his mind, it was still an insult but she didn't seem to be using it as one which was.. different.
She said she was fine but he raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying what she was selling. Thane had been through enough to see right through it and he sure as hell didn't like being lied to, but then who would? "If you were feeling sick, you wouldn't be this happy about it," he said, already poking holes in her fake story. He wasn't going to let her lie to him. If she didn't want to talk about it then fine, just admit that but he's preferred not having to put up with treated like some idiot who would believe anything.
She asked how he was and the answer was simple. "Well I'm being lied to but everything's grrreat," he said with a more chipper tone and an equally fake smile that only lasted seconds. He couldn't keep it up for as long as she could but at least this way she might see how obviously fake it looked. Maybe give her a subtle hint not to do it because it wasn't working for him. "I see right through that, Cassie," he told her. "I'd rather you say nothing at all than lie to me," he told her, not in a harsh tone. He was just looking for some respect here. Thane had been lied to enough times in his life, he didn't need more.

Cassie watched his hands as he he washed them in the sink next to her. She was avoiding eye contact because she was scared and embarrassed. He didn't seem bothered by it at all. She let her eyes drift up to his and saw the mix of emotions on his face. One she recognized was annoyance, she had seen it on many faces before. Her lips turned slightly to a frown but she quickly put the smile back. She didn't want him to see her upset and stay and be annoyed.
When he asked about being a losert, she just shook her head at him. "Just forget it." She didn't care anymore. Okay, if she admitted that she'd be lying to herself. Feeling like she should explain herself, so she spoke again. "It's your choice to be my..i.mean a loser" Her cheeks got red because she knew he'd take that the wrong way.
Then he easily caught her in a lie and Cassie didn't now how to respond and just looked at her feet. Then his next words were in a mocking tone and she reopened at him. She was not one to enjoy being sad and she pretty much wanted to cry right now but she didnt want to give him the satisfaction. Instead she just let him speak his mind before speaking herself again. "Well I just don't want you feeling obligated to make sure I'm okay." The young blonde hated this feeling. "You should stop lying to me too."

Thane just shrugged. She had a weird way of looking at things but at least he knew not to take it personally now. She just had a skewed way of looking at sex and stuff but that was okay. Cassie was entitled to her opinions and Thane didn't feel like saying anything about it.
"Trust me, I don't do anything because I feel obligated to," he told her. If he didn't want to do it then he wouldn't. He sure as hell wouldn't do something just cause he thoguth he was suppose to. "If I wanna do something, I do it," he said, that was all it was but then her next words caught him off guard.
"I haven't lied to you," he told her. What did she think he was lying about? Thane might keep things from people but it wasn't often that he would lie about it.
