I knew I was trouble when I got in- open

Mina was skiving her maths lesson as she didn't see the point in going when she didn't understand the work. Of course if she went then she might of been able to learn what ever the teacher was teaching or at lest ask for help. However Mina-Hee hated asking for help. So there was no way that she was going to start asking for help anytime soon and there was no way she was going to go the lesson and just sit there and do nothing. She knew that would just get her into trouble but at the same time she knew that she would also get into trouble for not going. So she had decided that she would prefer to get into trouble for not going than going and doing nothing.

So that was how Mina ended up sat in the hot tub of the schools indoor pool. Mina had her arms over the edge as she leant back enjoying the hot water. Mina was finding it very nice and relaxing and a lot better than her stupid maths lesson. She didn't care if she was going to end up in trouble later as she found that being in the hot tub was worth the price for how good it was. It left her thinking about skiving the one after too.

Thane skipping class was nothing out of the ordinary. He had done it plenty of times before. High school had been a time where he actually tried to do better. He would go to more classes but it was hard to stay in them. Most wouldn't believe it but Thane actually used to like being in school. He may not always go to all of his classes but he'd be on the school grounds somewhere.

Having the dorms and all the other facilities in the same place just gave him more freedom. He skipped history. He didn't see the point of learning about the past. You can't change what's already happened, right? So why bother?

He didn't think they'd mind anyway. The teachers were used to Thane not caring about anything. They knew talking to him didn't work and detention certainly wouldn't make much of a difference. He walked down the path, keeping to the corners, not wanting to be caught outside of class.

Thane soon found himself at the indoor pool. This was usually the last place he would ever think to go to but his aimless wandering took him here. With his hands in his pockets, he pushed the door with his shoulder and wandered in.

He had expected it to be empty but the sound of the hot tub jets alerted him to the fact that there might be someone else here. He moved in, walking around to the front of the hot tub to see an Asian girl in it. "Hey," he said casually, sitting down on the ground near the hot tub. He didn't have much else to do, might as well have company.

Mina-Hee was just sat in there enjoying it as it was nice and relaxing. As she was the only one here , so she didn't to worry about anything else or anyone. However she did wish that her best friends could be with here with her as she missed them allot when they used to do everything together. To which what she was doing know was something she could imagine her self doing with them. As she could see them gossiping and then starting a mini water fight. How she rally just wished that they where here with here. She had got so into her thoughts that she had slid a little way into the hot tub. To which she was no longer sat straight up in the hot tub.

She got so into her thoughts that she ended up jumping when the guy spoke. It slightly frightened her as she thought she was here on her own. Mina didn't think anyone else would turn up. Mina was just glad that It was a student and not a teacher as she didn't fancy being forced out of the hot tub any time soon for skiving class.

Mina then turned round to where the sound was coming from to notice a older looking guy who she hadn't meet before."Hi I dont think we have meet before, I'm Mina."She said as friendly as she could. As she wanted to get to know the guy sat near here. As she wanted to get to know the guys round this place too if she had a chance with anyone of them.

The girl seemed surprised when he spoke. Apparently she hadn't been expecting company, but then who would in the middle of a school day? She should be in a class right now too but she wasn't. At least this way, Thane knew she wouldn't tell anyone about it considering she'd be in trouble too.

Still, he was already sitting so there was no real reason to leave. Besides, once she got over the initial surprised of having company, things were fine. She didn't tell him to leave. She didn't seem particularly anti-social.

"Thane," he told her simply as he sat there cross-legged on the ground, pulling a joint out of his pocket. It as hard enough to get anything from in here but if you knew the right people, almost anything was possible. Thane didn't smoke cigarettes anymore, they were bad for you but this... Nah, they gave this to patients now, so clearly it had its benefits.

He grabbed his lighter and lit it before taking a long drag. Usually he wouldn't do this but the space was open enough for the smell to dissipate before school was out. That and he needed to clear his head. Too much was going on in it and thinking was always a bad thing for Thane Foster.

"Want some?" he asked, holding it out to her. He didn't know if she smoked but it wasn't like this would poison her and fill her lungs with tar or anything. Nah, this just made things better, who could say no to that?

Mina listened to him speak. He told her his name. However she was expecting more than a one word answer when she had asked him a question. However she wasn't going to force him for an answer when she was in to much a of a good mood to start moaning at Thane for not getting one. She wanted to enjoy her good whilst she could before she ended up getting in trouble for skipping lessons.

When he started smoking what ever he was smoking she turned around to look at him with the look of ew. As what ever Thane was smoking smelt descusting to her. She couldn't even believe that he could smoke something so rank. Mina was then even more grossed out when he offered it her. "No way. I dont even know what it is your smoking but what ever it is smells rank."She didnt even know how much more of the smell she could take but didnt want to get out of the hot tub as she was enjoying it much. Yet at the same time she wasnt going to make him stop smoking so she could stay in here longer.As she knew it was his life so he could do what he wanted with it.

Thane was trying to clear his mind. That had been the purpose of this entire excursion. He would walk around, try to clear his head and if all else fails, there was always that nice pre-rolled joint in his pocket. It was enough to get him high enough to not care as much about the things that bothered him. It was funny how they thought the medication would help. It didn't make a whole lot of different but this one little illegal thing did. In some places, he might even have gotten away with using it medicinally. It would have worked a lot better at least.

The girl looked utterly disgusted by the offer and Thane just shrugged and smoked some more of it. His main goal right now was to get high and it didn't matter if she wanted to join him or not. He was just offering to be polite. This was, it was more for him.

He looked just a little surprised that she didn't know what this was. Everyone he knew was aware of it. Hell they could tell you were to get the best stuff, who to ask for and how much it would cost you. Anyone who couldn't probably lived a very sheltered life. "You don't know what this is?" he asked, he wasn't gonna bother with a proper explanation when a vague one would do just as fine. "It's the best way to get high," he told her. A bong was just too much effort and even more evidence to hide. Rolling it up and smoking it had always been easier.

The way Thane spoke to Mina across as if Mina should of known what it was but she didnt know much. If anything useful. She knew a lot about some stuff but not stuff that would get her by in life. Then her parents where not going to let her live off there money whilst she aimed to become a famous dancer.Life wasn't as easy as she wanted it to be but where would we be in life with out our challenges.

"Of course I dont know what it is as I dont smoke okay.Or get high unless it was high up a building but thats different. As well as besides the point. Plus why would I want to get high when I don't know what it is going to do to my body, good or bad?" Mina said refraining herself from saying anything else. As It was starting to sound like she was rambling on and she didnt want to come off as that. Yet at the same time she had a lot to say and could of said a lot more. However she felt that Thane should get a say in the conversation too instead of it all just being one side as he smoked.

Thane soon accepted it. She didn't know what it was. She probably hadn't ever come across it before. Must be one hell of a sheltered life. Thane couldn't even imagine what it might have been like. His own life hadn't been so bad after a while but it still wasn't right. Everything right up until he was fourteen had sucked but after that.. It all got a little bit better. Things changed and he was lucky they changed.

Thane thought about her question. It wasn't like he knew the science of it or could explain what exactly it did to his body. He just knew it was good and that so far, it hadn't had any adverse affects on him. "It just makes you feel good," he told her, not trying to argue with her but just saying. That's all it was, a quick fix.

He took another long drag of it and blew the smoke out. He was sitting back enough to have a conversation but still blow the smoke in the other direction so it wouldn't get to her. "Can we talk about something else?" he asked, something that didn't require any thinking because that was really what he was after. He had to clear his mind quickly before things got bad again.
