Under the sea ~ Damien

There once was a young man named Eli, who was breaking his rules. Oh indeed he was. Rule one, don;t go near things that can cause you harm if you have an episode. and then a few other rules that aren't important at the moment. But anyways, here Eli was, in swimming trunks, and a t-shirt. Right next to a pool. Now one may ask, does Eli not know how to swim? Oh of course the boy did, he was once asked to join the team back home! But no said his mother. Young Eli, wasn't suppose to be near pools because he could have an episode, fall in, and drown.

But here was Eli, unable to resist the water. He did love swimming, and he was aloud to do it at home, under the supervision of his best-friend that is. But here Eli was, unsupervised, and sitting over the edge of a pool, dangling his feet in the water. It was so relaxing, and well the boy loved to feel relaxed. He often felt tired, and he couldn't stand it, but relaxing was good every now and then. His eyes began to droop, and then plop! Into the water unconscious Eli went. It was strange how these fits happened, one moment he'd be away, then suddenly he;d just topple over into sleep. but as soon as eli began to breath in that chlorine water, well, he couldn't help but start coughing. It was terrifying really, choking on water, coughing then re choking on it. After this, Eli would be sure to pick burning in a fire, rather than drowning in a pool.

Damien wasn't sure what he was doing here. Okay, that was a lie. He knew what he was doing here, he needed to chill out. He was constantly paranoid lately, he just needed to chill out. That's why he was laying back in the hot tub, his hands clasped together behind his head, while he watched the indoor pool area. There really weren't that many people there, which he thought was interesting. He figured that people would take advantage of the indoor pool, since a lot of teenagers seemed to love the idea of pools. Maybe that only worked when it came to parties, and it would be hard to throw a party at the pool in a school for the fucked up. Okay, it wouldn't be hard to get the booze, him and Amanda sure did seem to get it easily, but it would be hard to have a lot of people here at once without getting caught.

When he heard a splash, his blue eyes directed towards it just in time to see some blonde boy fall in. He didn't think much of it at first, but.. well.. the boy wasn't coming up. He stood up slightly, watching carefully for the blonde hair to pop up in the pool. After a few seconds, he let out a, "Fuck.." under his breath, before jumping out of the hot tub and running towards the pool, jumping into it. It was freezing! Especially when you just come out of a blazing hot, hot tub. He swam quickly towards the boy, grabbing him and wrapping his arm over his own shoulders before swimming up towards the surface. When he hit the surface, he took in a breath, and pushed the boy over onto flat ground. He pulled himself out of the pool and kneeled beside the boy, before raising his eyebrows. Would he be okay? Just to make sure, he gave the boy a little slap, "Hey!"

It was hazy, like a dream. Eli couldn't really think, all he could do was feel no air getting to him, choking, and well it was painful. He didn't even feel someone grabbing him and pulling him out of the water. He just felt, well...tired. His body had gone into it's paralyzed state. Often happening when Eli's heart got too excited or something. The science of it was confusing. So he wasn't very responsive at first. Just eyes open and laying there. And then the slap happened and well it seemed to be enough to snap him back to reality, and Eli let out a rather throaty cough, water spouting out of his mouth like it does when a wale comes above the water to get more air. Okay maybe that was an exaggeration, but whatever.

Eli turned over and coughed some more, it sounded absolutely horrible, like his ling was going to come out or something. He coughed for a little longer before lust lying there trying to breath. He was trying to breath, and trying not to have a panic attack at the same time as not wanting to go into paralyzed mode again. His brain was hectic, and well he couldn't really turn to the guy who pulled him out and say thank you. So there he was, just hyperventilating and lying on the cold ground shivering. When he did try to speak, it came out as gibberish, followed by a cough.

Well, the slap seemed to wake him up a bit, which Damien was thankful for. Because he honestly didn't know what else to do to help the kid. He watched as the boy coughed up any of the water that had went into his lungs, before standing up a little. He went over and grabbed his towel, and some random one that was next to his, before wrapping it around the boys shoulders. Might as well help him out a little more while he could. He did just almost drown, so he figured he could at least give him a towel. It wouldn't hurt.

He watched as he coughed a little more, before running his hand through his now competely wet hair, because he didn't know what to do. He looked around the pool, while he kept coughing. But then he sounded like he was trying to say something, and it didn't really come out as anything.. it was just gibberish. He rubbed the back of his neck, before looking back down at the boy and nodding his head, "Are you going to be okay?" because if he was going to be okay, then he was all up for leaving.

It still felt like eli had water in his lungs, but nothing more was coming out as he coughed. He seriously felt like he was going to hurl, and he was beyond tired now. So what did the boy think about? He thought about cookies. Yup, cookies. Because cookies made everything better didn't they? Well anyways. He was thinking about cookies. He didn't notice the towel until he finally stopped coughing, his thoat felt hoarse, but the worst was over.

Eli looked up at the guy who saved him smiling after the question was asked. "I..." his voice cracked and he cleared his throat. "I think I should be fine...just a little woozy." He smiled, "Thank you by the way." He stood up, closing his eyes for a moment, feeling a little nausea go to his head. "Uhm..I was wondering." He bit his lip and looked at the ground, then back at the guy. "I'm new..and I don't know where places are, could..you..uh show me where the common room is?" He smiled innocently. He was looking to get himself a pack of cookies.

By now, the boy seemed okay, so he nodded his head, before shaking the towel through his hair. His hair was probably sticking up in all sorts of different directions, but he honestly didn't care at this point. His job was done for the day, and now there was no way that he was going to just stay here and let the boy do the same thing all over again. When the boy said 'he was wondering' he closed his eyes and let his head hang, while the boy asked his stupid question. He opened his eyes and looked up at him, raising his eyebrows. He didn't answer for a moment, before he shook his head, "No." Was all he said.

Damien walked over to his phone and shirt, before starting to walk towards the door. But then he stopped and looked down at the ground for a moment, before looking back at the blonde kid, before saying loudly, "...If you want me to show you where it is, you better come on. I'm not waiting," before he started to walk again. If he really needed to be shown where the common room was, then he would hurry up. He wasn't going to treat him special, or like he was a baby, just because he almost drowned. He had done his hero moment for the year, that was enough for him.

Eli didn't like the pool right now, the mere smell of it made him feel like he was going to be ill, but he sure as hell didn't want to be alone right now. Being alone after something as traumatic as that happened? No thank you, was what he thought. So who better to be with, than the guy who saved him? Back home the person who saved him from things like this was Kai, but Kai wasn't here, so he;d have to make do with what he got.

He pouted at the no, he hadn't even asked him before he said that. And then the guy walked away, and Eli just sat there, dripping wet. Though he didn't pay attention to that right now. Then the tall guy spoke, and Eli blinked for a moment, confused. "But you said..." he mumbled softly to himself before smiling and standing up. He grabbed a random towel and walked over to the guy. He grinned and held out his hand. "I'm Eli by the way! What's your name?" he asked in a way too chipper voice for a guy who almost died.
