Nate was new.. Far too new to want to explore. He was told that this was a nice place. His mother seemed to think it would be better for him but it didn't look any better. The blonde had studied the map for a few seconds. He knew this place like the back of his hand now but still was not inclined to explore.
There were too many people around and that was something he tended to avoid. Nate was not a social person but this place seemed determined to change that.. Or fix his problem. Was it really a problem to not want people to touch you or be anywhere near you? He didn't like to think so but the logic was there. It was reasonable to claim that this was a problem.
He moved through the door, studying the room carefully. The boy was a little more than intelligent. With his memory and ability to learn fairly quickly, he could do anything. He could be anywhere right now but he was here. Broken and scared. Anything he had to offer just didn't seem to matter anymore.
He was surprised at how nice the room was. It was a five star hotel compared to the small space he used to live in. All he had was a crappy old mattress and not even a bed frame. There was nothing else in there except a few library books and some school supplies. He didn't have much but he never thought he needed very much until he saw this. There was even desks in front of the beds. This was amazing and for a second he thought his mother might have done something right for once.
He dropped his duffel bag next to the empty bed. The other side of the room seemed to be taken but he would cross that bridge when he came to it. It would have been nice to have a room to himself but Nate knew that wasn't going to happen. He pulled a book out of his bag and kicked his shoes off before climbing into the bed. Sitting in the corner of it, he pulled the covers up to his chest and opened the book.

Craig had been having a fun time out with Milo as they had been exploring the place. See what they could find that would be of any interest to them. As they wanted to find stuff that they would like to come back and see again. As Craig and Milo had only had a quick look around some of the places. They had tried to fit everywhere in but there was just so much that they didnt have time to do it all with everything else they had to do today. So they had deiced that they would have a proper look around on a day when they didn't have to do much. Which they hoped would be some day soon as they really did want too see it all. It was such a good adventurer for them both that hadn't even relazed that they had been gone a few hours till Craig had looked at his Lego watch. So they had decided that they where going to head back to there dorm and tick off the places they had been too using the map and his check list. To which after that they where going to write in there journal about there day. As they where told that they need to keep one so that they could note stuff that didnt take place in the therapy sessions. Which Craig understood and didn't mind doing as he used to do stuff like this at his old school. As they used to make him write about his lesson's.So he just looked at his new one as an upgraded version of his old one. Craig then opened the door with one hand whilst he held Milo in the other. Once he had opened the door he could see someone in his room that he hadnt meet yet. He ussmed that it was the room mate that they said he would be getting at some point. He just didnt think that it would be so soon when he had only been here a few days. He then walked in and closed the door behind him. He then walked up to his desk and took his lego backpack off. He then placed it down on the desk. Craig then turned to look at his room mate. "Hi I am Craig and This is Milo."Craig said as he held out his teddy bear to show his room mate. Milo only he is same size as normal teddy bears.

Nate read his book, scanning the pages proficiently. The words were beyond an average fifteen year old's scope but he managed to breeze through it like it was a picture book. Nate never thought anything of it. He had always liked to read and it didn't seem to be a big what it was he read. So what if the book was on Papaloizou-Pringle Instability. That wasn't a big deal. No one at school ever seemed to notice him or the titles.. He was just that weird kid who liked to read and wouldn't go near anyone.
He glanced up from his book, eyes locked on his target. A stranger in the room.. Or perhaps not. This was possible the owner of all the stuff on the other side of the room. He seemed alright but even in the door way, it was too close for comfort. This was going to be something he would have to work hard to get used to. He didn't like people around him but this was a school.. What else could he possibly have done?
He had a bear.. It was curious. Nate wanted to ask but he couldn't. He didn't want to talk to his stranger let alone ask him questions about his toy. Toys.. He never had any and he got along just fine. They served no purpose. No. Books were better. He went back to it but looked up again when he heard the words. Nate just stared at him.
He didn't want to speak but it would be impolite not to. "Nate," he told him before going back to his book. He just wanted to be lost in his own little world with his anisotropic stellar systems. It was a very interesting read.

When the guy finally replying they both thought that it was such a nice name compared to Craig. They felt that Nate had such a nice ring to it.Then again they probably only felt that way as they hadn't heard of the name before."Milo says that's such a nice name." Craig said. Craig was a bit embarrassed to say that he thought it was a nice name too, so he just said that Milo thought it was. He also felt that he came across less creepy that way when Milo was a teddy. so Craig felt it was a lot better that way and just hoped that Nate did too.
Craig then turned round to face his desk to which he put Milo down on it facing him. So that when he sat down to write in his diary he could still Milo to make shore that Milo didn't do anything bad. As Milo had done some bad stuff in the past and Craig didn't fancy getting into trouble because of Milo again. Last time was bad enough so Craig was determent for it to not happen again. "I'm watching you Milo." Craig said as he pointed his finger at Milo so that Milo knew that bad things couldn't happen. Well not when Craig was around.
Craig then pulled out the chair and sat down in it ready too write in his diary. As he was all geared up ready to write in it for the first time.He felt that it was going to be so much fun when he had lots of stuff to write about and couldn't wait to wright about meeting his room mate for the first time. Instead he just stared at Milo to make shore nothing bad could happen.

Nate was quiet and he kept to himself but just because he didn't like to social, didn't mean he couldn't. He nodded at that. A teddy bear couldn't say or think.. Clearly this guy had some problems but Nate was the last person to judge anyone based on something that was out of their control. He glanced over at the toy. "Thanks," he said, speaking directly to the teddy bear before glancing back at Craig. He felt silly taking to a teddy bear but it seemed like the thing to do. He knew it was all in Craig's head and it was probably him that thought it but he didn't mind talking to him through a bunch of sewn up cotton. It was better than having him get too close.
Crystal blue eyes watched curiously as the guy sat down at his desk. This was far more interesting than reading about accretion disks.. Astrophysics and physics were his obsession. It made sense in his world but this did not. He watched the guy talk to the teddy bear and brows furrowed in confusion. It seemed like a very odd thing to say.
"Why do you need to watch him?" he asked quietly. It was a toy.. It wasn't capable of doing anything.. Watching it seemed like a pointless task but still this Craig guy seemed intent on doing it and his actions sparked curiosity in Nate.

Craig then thought about getting his book and pen out of his bag. He thought maybe it would okay to do know as Milo seemed to be okay at the minute. So he really was thinking long and hard about what he would he was going to do.
Well that was until Nate spoke.Craig felt it was a bit of strange question to ask but then again he realised that Nate didnt know how bad Milo could get. So he turned round to face Nate but making shore that he could still Milo."I need to watch him as he has done bad things before in the past that I got in trouble for and I wont let it happen again."Craig said. He then took short pulsed before going to speaking again. "Last time he stole my pencils so I couldn't do my work and had to stay behind after the lesson to do extra work." Craig said letting him know how bad Milo could get as he wanted Nate too know that Milo was a very naught teddy bear.Craig felt that Nate needed to know just in case Milo did bad things to Nate which Craig didnt want to happen. Craig would always try to prevent anything from happening but sometimes Craig couldn't stop Milo when Milo had his mind set on doing something.

Nate made the connections very quickly in his head. Clearly a stuffed toy couldn't do much of anything so someone else had to have done it and since Milo belonged to Craig, it seemed reasonable to assumed that the guy had done it and just blamed it on the toy.. Some people did that sometimes.. It didn't sound so crazy.
"What did he do?" Nate asked, eyes fixed on Craig, wondering if it had been really bad. He was a little concerned now about how dangerous the guy might actually be. Craig seemed harmless enough but you just never knew and Nate needed to know what he was in for.
Nate nodded at the answer he got. Stolen pencils wasn't so bad but maybe it wasn't Craig at all. Maybe someone else had done it and the guy just saw fit to blame a harmless toy for it. That made a little more sense than stealing his own pencils.
"That doesn't sound so bad," he said quietly. There were much worse things that could happen to a person and stolen pencils wasn't very high on the list. In fact, Nate wouldn't have minded it at all. He'd get more time in class and alone. The fifteen year old would have no problems with that at all.

Craig couldn't believe that Nate didn't think it was bad as Craig really did think it was very bad. Craig couldn't believe that Milo would do something like that after all they had been threw. Craig thought he couldn't trust Milo well he could just not all the time when he was going round stealing Craig's pencils. "It was it was really bad as I had to stay in and do extra work on top of the work I didn't do. When my friend's where outside playing."Craig said sounding annoyed at the work he had to do as it really annoyed him. He never wanted to do that much work again when he could of been doing fun stuff.
He then crossed his arms and gave Milo a stern look. "I wanted to go outside and play. They should of put Milo on the naught step whilst I went out a played."Craig said sounding annoyed even though the hole iridescent had happened about two weeks ago.It still got to him and made him keep a grate watch on Milo. Yes okay Craig loved Milo and couldnt see him living a life with out Milo. It was just the naughty things that Milo did that got to Craig. Even if it was Craig making Milo do.

Craig seemed to think this was a big deal. Nate had been through a lot and this really was the equivalent of a nice walk in the park. He would have loved to be locked away in a classroom all alone while everyone else was outside. "I would have liked that," he admitted quietly. He would gladly trade lives with the guy but he doubted very much that Craig would be able to handle it.
Nate watched him talk to the stuffed toy again. He sounded like a little kid which was a stark opposite to Nate and his ability to sometimes come up with words of wisdom that made him sound at least thirty. He was miles more mature than this guy.
"How old are you?" he asked, maybe this was one of those odd personality disorders.. Maybe this guy really did think he was a kid.. Who knows? Nate certainly wouldn't be surprised. He had seen worse things after all.

Craig just kept staring at Milo with his arms crossed to which he thought that maybe he was taking the whole pencils thing a bit to far. When it happened two weeks ago and he the fact that he still hadn't started what he aimed to do. Craig wanted to write in his diary which was still sat in his unopened bag.He knew that it wasnt going to write what he was thinking. As much as he wished it would he knew it wouldn't.
Craig then turned back round so he was facing his back pack. He then reached over for his back and pulled it closer to him. To which he was then going to unzip it but instead didn't as Nate had asked him a question. So he popped his lego back pack on his lap and turned back round to face Nate. "I'm a big 15 years old. Are you also 15 years old?" Craig asked wondering how old his room mate is.Hopping they would be the same age. Not that he would of minded if he was younger or older. He would just prefer to share the room with someone his age.

Nate was really starting to wonder about this guy. Nate was used to being the quiet one in his class. The one that kept to himself when others laughed and played because he couldn't relate. He was miles ahead of them. They would argue about who a red crayon belonged to while he sat quietly doing his work then moving on to something else when he was done because he didn't want to bother the teacher and figured he'd make good use of his time with something productive.. This boy seemed to be the opposite. Still, he said he was fifteen.
"Chronologically, yes," he told him simply, before picking up the book he had been reading. He knew he wouldn't get much done now. Nate needed to concentrate and with another person in the room, that was hard to do. Nate wasn't trying to be difficult. He could have simply said yes but he hated being put in the same group as other people his age. He just didn't feel like he belonged and he could tell that they saw it too. In an attempt to find a place where he did belong, Nate had managed to learn to give up altogether and just accept things the way they were.

Craig started to undo his bag as he listened to Nate speck to which Craig became confused. As he didnt really understand what Nate was saying. He had hear the word chronologically before but had no idea what it meant. So to him his questoin still hadnt been asked but it was okay as he was going to ask Nate another question. As his mum had always told him if he didn't understand something then he should always questions till he did.
Craig noticed the boy pick up his book but Craig was to confused to let the boy read in peace he needed to ask what it meant or he would for ever be confused. "Nate what does chronologically mean."Craig said stuttering on the word chronologically as he wasn't that shore how to pronounce it as he was mainly going off how Nate had said it.
Craig was know pleased at the fact he had asked Nate what it had meant as It meant he didnt have to be confused any more. Yet at the same time he didn't like that he was disturbing Nate from reading his own book.

Nate was sure he would now be allowed to go back to his book but apparently not. The boy had been confused by his statement. Perhaps it had been a little too complex.
He lowered the book again and looked over at Craig. It was fair to ask question, that was how you learned but Nate probably wasn't the best teacher. He tended to be lost in his own little world.
"It's the arrangement of time in order of occurrence," he told him simply. After saying it, he realized that the guy probably wouldn't have understood what he was saying. "I'm fifteen," he said. Yeah, that ought to do it.
The guy wasn't on the same wavelength but at least he kept his distance. Nate could be grateful for that at least. It didn't matter if they didn't have riveting conversations because Nate didn't usually talk very much anyway.
