connor jean kind of missed the simplicity of childhood and the easy going way life was when you were just a young human. there was no worries about money. there was no worry about the outside world or what could happen to you or your family. the biggest worry he had was his homework or if he went younger, it was being good to get a snack later. one of the things he vaguely remembered was playing at a park with his sister, it was only vague. there was no specifics but he remembered playing hide and seek, tag, swinging or chasing each other down the slides. it was fun and it was when he and hope were just happy being siblings. no bad blood and no hatred. now? now they were fighting. his parents felt that they'd get over it because they always did. but this was worse. this was all connor's fault and something told him that he was going to have to work to make it better with his sister. it was just hard to really admit to making a bad choice in something. especially in his choice of friendships. if he just pretended hope was a little slutty, it made life make sense to him. he couldn't choose his sister, and he had no problems with slutty girls. just not his sister and he'd just have to beat up more guys to keep her okay. admitting that he picked a rapist for his best friend meant that he made a bad choice and had to admit to such a thing. that alone was just a hard thing for mister jean to do.
though he had yet to go find his sister here in the hell hole, because he was afraid of what she'd say or do, he decided to go reminisce on old childhood fun times. with that said, he was heading to the park. because it was the same across america and meant it was a prefect place to remember his childhood. any other place that was the epitome of his childhood, was back in texas and he wanted to go somewhere to embrace the child in him. it took him a little while because he had gotten extremely confused about where he was going. finally he found the park and sat on a swing before swinging a bit and letting out a sigh. he had just gotten here and he was already sad because he didn't want to be grown up right now and decided for the next hour or so, he'd be five again. forgetting his current problems and his current idiocy, he stood up from the swing and grabbed a tree branch that was laying on the floor and began swinging it around."hult you dragon," he said, trying to be childish and silly. Victoria Hope Jean really did like the small town on Eauton. It was very different from Houston, it was more quaint. It was something that she felt like she could get used to. She tried to go out to the town whenever she could, but it was hard to tell herself to get out of bed sometimes, because she didn't hve the strength to do anything. But today was a day where she was able to. She pulled on her clothes and walked right out of the door, not even thinking twice about it. It was a good day when she could get out of bed and actually go through out the day. Many people didn't realize that Depression, especially her type of depression.. made it hard to really do anything. She constantly felt tired, and felt as if she didn't have any energy.. Worthlessness. Her grades were terrible because she just couldn't concentrate. It was hard to do anything now, but she tried not to let others know. She almost stayed in bed today and just did nothing, but she wanted to go explore the town. So, she pushed through and did it anyway. She went to the local coffee shop and got a hot chocolate and waved goodbye with a smile, even though she didn't get one back. Many of the locals here didn't like the ones from Pinewood, she knew that.. and it only made her frown. She looked down as she walked, at the hot chocolate for a moment as she thought about why they wouldn't like them. Obviously, she understood if some of the students caused havoc, which most were known to do, but they didn't give her a chance. And she wasn't here for havoc, she was here about herself. She shook the thoughts away, mainly pushing them to the back of her mind, before stopping in her tracks. She heard a familiar voice, a voice that she had been happy to get away from when she arrived here at Eauton. Her parents wouldn't do that.. they knew how often Connor had brought her down. She turned towards the voice, and there he was. She stayed where she was for a second, just watching him. He seemed to be acting like a child and.. it was nice. She wished that she could do that. Finally, she started to walk towards him and stopped when she was a few feet away. She didn't even know what to say.. but she wanted her brother. She stood there, just watching him for a few more moments, before she finally just said, "Mom and dad didn't tell me you were here.." she said, her voice quiet. She didn't even know if he would have heard her, but.. she wanted to say something to him. As much as she didn't like to say it, she needed her brother. If he would believe her, it'd be easier. But she'd take anything at this point. word count: 496 outfit: heretag: connor and gabby notes: hiii |

connor's mind was always clouded with thoughts of hope and her sadness and what he did to her. everyday as he laid his head to sleep, his mind was full of nothing but her. the tears that ran down her cheek when he said all those words he said. the thoughts of the blood that covered the hotel room he ran her too. he caused this, in more ways than he wanted to admit, her current predicament was ore his fault. if he didn't push her away and cause her all that pain. then the two would be happy in their home city of houston texas and they would be riding horses and playing music together. it'd have been a happy time and not a time away from home. full of regret and sadness.
upon hearing the voice...well it triggered an emotional response that kind of dug him out of his childish state of mind. he wanted to stay there in the art of pretend and the art of acting. but this was hope and he needed to be the connor of the present but that'd be saved for later, first he needed to make her smile. to make her realize he still cared deeply about her person and what happened to her. that he still loved her. so he was going to be young childish connor and get her to play pretend with him. he kind of did a silly childish skip to the beautiful being that is his little sister, "hop! yes they diiid. they are there." he was pointing at a bench where normally parents would be when watching children play at the playground. "you are so silly," even though he was the one being silly, he was trying to get her to smile. what better way than this? he first had to tell her what he was doing before she found him more crazy than she already did. "we are going to play pretend and be our childish selves. that means," he took her hand and picked up a wood sword and wrapped her hand around them. "now, with this said. we play pretend." grabbing his own sword tree thing and he pointed at the tree with it, "look we have an ogre on our hands knight hop." he charged at it and began whacking it, probably figuring people would think he was schizo or something. that was fine by him...as long as his sisters face lit up like it once did before things went down and they became angry with each other. his stick broke as he rammed it against the tree and he frowned. "i lost my sword hop, you have to defeat the ogre!" 456, krista and hope, hii lovels SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW by KEANE made by ANYA of caution 2.0

Hope had always dreamt of the day that she would see her brother again. She didn't think that their reunion would be at Pinewood, only months after she had attempted suicide, because of the words that he had spat at her all the time. She wondered if he knew how much those simple words would affect her, and how they still affected her to this day. She had actually started to believe some of the words that he had called her, just because.. why else would he, and other people, call her such words? It only made sense, after all. Her eyebrows came together when he pointed over to the bench, as if their parents would be there.. watching them, like they would when they were younger. The thing is, they weren't that young anymore, and they never would be. Even if he wanted to act like they were. She honestly didn't know if she could pretend to be that young again.. that happy and vibrant, because she didn't feel any of those things inside of her being anymore. She frowned a little at him and shook her head, "That's not what I meant," she mumbled, looking at the ground. She definitely didn't think that their reunion would consist of him trying to get her to pretend that they were young again. Not that she minded, because it was definitely better than what she thought it was going to be like. She just didn't know if she could do that. As her hands wrapped around the wood that he had handed her, her eyes lifted up to meet his and she bit down on the inside of her cheek for a moment, before trying to say something, "But I..." she didn't finish the sentence, before letting out a sigh and nodded her head. She threw the coffee drink into the trash bin that was close to her, before following him, but definitely not with the same energy. She looked at the tree, trying to pretend that it was an ogre, before whacking it with her wooden sword, "Connor, this isn't going to work! Shouldn't we throw a rock at it? Like David? Ogres are kind of the same as giants, right?"word count: 377 outfit: heretag: connor and gabby notes: hiii |
