there was a hot tub and it was indoors and it was heated and it was going to be fun, hopefully someone would be there to entertain her when she's happily and utterly drunk. for now, she was kind of being a curt bitch to the people around her. she needed the sad thoughts out of her head, as her hand automatically drifted to her empty, flat stomach and she groaned as tears filled her eyes. "fuck fuck, fuck!" she hated the fact that she lost her child and the fact that her life before was hell and still was hell. but at least she wasn't home and in that hole of a hell place. her first plan was to get drunk at the hot tub but she needed to open the bottle and take a swig before she didn't make it to the hot tub and curled up in a ball on the ground and burst into tears. that wouldn't be good at all and so she opened it, took a bit and finished making her way to the pool.
finally inside, she took her clothes off and took yet another swig of her whiskey before turning on the bubbles and sliding her blonde body into the small circle and let out a moan. "mmmm" she really wanted sex and she wasn't even drunk yet, she was definitely becoming more of a slut everyday but it was who she was and she dealt with it. plus, maybe she'll get pregnant again and have another child because she missed beverly. Nate was hiding out. It was what he usually did. It was late afternoon and not quite dark but the pool seemed to be the quietest place. Not just quiet, it was empty. There was no one there and still Nate didn't think to use the opportunity to swim. He didn't think it was safe with people around. They could show up at any moment. He was too used to hiding and sitting in the corner of the indoor pool kept him hidden from the world, at least for a while.
He heard someone come in but kept his distance. Nate wondered if he could sneak out without being notice. He didn't even think to see who it was. He just had to leave and find some where quieter.. or better yet, empty. The only trouble was, he was new and didn't know this place well enough to have plotted out escape routes.
The blonde sat there, staring at the corners of the indoor pool, trying hard to think of something he could do but there was nothing. Who ever it was, would see him. He moved, peering out from the corner to see a girl... She didn't look so dangerous and generally girls weren't as bad to be around. Nate moved forward a little, he knew he would be in her line of sight but he was looking past her at the door, clearly wanting to leave.
He had no interest in bothering her or taking up any of her time. He was sure she must have better things to do or in this case, she might just want to be alone. He could respect that. He knew better than most how important it could be to a person to have their privacy and he did not want to intrude.

though, out of no where it was like someone answered her prayers of wanting a little more than . though she didn't pray or really believe in a higher power. plus god was supposed to be against before marriage sex and that meant being against amanda's whole being and what she wanted to do with her company. and even though she wanted a little relaxation, the person in her view was cute and she licked her lips and took a swig of the alcohol in her hand. the young lady got out of the hot tub, her skinny body dripping water off of her skin. sitting next to him, she leaned over and touched his hand, "hey cutie want sip?" she was crazy and the girl wanted to have some fun tonight and she didn't want it with damien. that seemed to be overrated and kind of annoying to know she sexed him up way more than anyone else. "i was just about to give up on sexy company when bam, my prayers were answered with your yummy being." she tended to be a little out there with her flirting and didn't leave too much for the imagination or for misinterpretation and miscommunication. It was strange being here. In a way it was better, with regular meals and warm beds and everything else you would need but on the other hand, it wasn't safe here.. Nate was almost tempted to think it would be safer in his own home but she didn't want him there. This was his mother's decision. She was so sure it would be better for him here.. That they would help him.
Did he really need help? Nate was convince he was fine. He knew he had problems but couldn't everyone just let him live with them. These were his problems not theirs so why should they bother fixing it? Nate was quite happy living in the shadows like he was doing now. No one bothered him here.
Nate paused for a second, pulling his gaze away from the door and to the girl in the hot tub. She was staring at him. Lips parted as though he might say something but instead he just licked them and shut them again. Silencing himself like usually. Nate knew better than to share an opinion. She was drinking and he had a look on his face for a moment, something between disappointment and uncertainty. He knew drunks. He was raised by one. He knew exactly how bad it could get and he hated the stuff because of it.
She got out of the hot tub and usually Nate would take a step back to ensure he had his distance but this was just a girl. She didn't seem so scary and it didn't look like she meant any harm so he stood his ground, watching her with a rather serious look.
For once, in a moment of weakness, Nate was distracted and not thinking enough. He hadn't realized how close she had gotten until she touched his hand which he immediately pulled back with the speed of lightning and stumbled back a little to regain that distance. Blue eyes stared wide at the stranger and in fear of how close she had gotten without him realizing.
Nate shook his head at the offer. His own hand covering the skin she had touched, almost as though soothing it after a violent attack. This was wrong. She shouldn't have gotten this close.. How could have let that happen? That was an easy question to answer. Nate was getting tired of being on high alert this entire time and his mind was finally giving in and getting to tired to keep up with the job.
He stared at her like she wasn't making sense. "I.. I should go," he said, but that was the complete opposite of what she was saying. She seemed to want him there so why should he go? For his own reasons of course. He had slipped up and he couldn't let himself be out here. As much as he liked it outside, it just wasn't safe for him.

he seemed to notice her because it looked like he was staring right at her, but that didn't mean amanda knew what to do or how to deal with this situation. he wasn't talking and just staring, maybe he liked what he saw? the lip licking was an invitation because she liked to let people know she was open for more than a little fun. she wasn't really an angry drunk or at least not that she knew of. most of the time when she woke up, she was naked and she was told she had sex and was a little crazy on the spectrum of drunk. most people found her entertaining or creepy but not scary because she wasn't usually a scary person anyway. sure, when she waned to be she could be a scary bitch and managed to pull it off quite well.
by the time she had gotten up to go speak to the cute blonde by, she had drank half the bottle of fine brown liquid. meaning she was drunk enough to not be herself and be the slutty girl she was when under the influence. but yet, she wasn't drunk enough to where she'd forget what was happening here when she got sober again. he stepped away from her and she frowned because she didn't really do well with rejection, especially when all her marbles weren't exactly put together properly in her head. she had more than a little screws loose when she was sober, but drunk? she had screws missing all over and any small thing could cause the young blonde to fall apart at any moment. a frown appeared as she watched him rub his hand and she rolled her eyes, "didn't realize i was that gross." her words had a tinge of anger but it was more filled with a sadness and a heat that she wasn't able to control.
even now, she could realize the fear in his eyes and in his body form because for so long she held the same thing but she wasn't there completely. she was worried about one thing and that was taming the fire that started in the pit of her stomach and went lower and lower. she sat the whiskey on the floor and took a step closer to him, not realizing it but her foot hit the whiskey bottle and knocked it into the pool. "well fuck me twice and call mee sexy," she said, eyes twinkling but shrugging because right now she was where she wanted to be. "now, why don't you just stay here with me and i can make it worth your wild?" [/style]

Nate wanted to leave but he would have to get past her to do that and he couldn't right now. He just watched her for a moment, making sure to keep that distance. She frowned and he hadn't meant to upset her but it was almost instinct. He couldn't help doing what he did.
He was silence for a moment but he felt the need to explain. He couldn't have her thinking it was because of her when it was. This was entirely on Nate and his stupid phobia that just would not go away. "It's not you," he promised her. It was never the people he avoided. It was just somethin he had to do. Something that couldn't be helped. He didn't like the feeling of being touched. It registered as something bad. His mind was being cruel because if he thought about it, that was exactly what he needed.. He just couldn't have it.
He stared, eyes wide, a little surprised at the exclaimation. She was acting all crazy.. It kind of reminded him of his mother when she was drunk but Nate was used to that. He knew to go hide in his tiny little room with his books and to deal with the aftermath in the morning. That was how it worked.
She didn't seem too distraught over the fact that she had lost the rest of her alcohol but it was fine with him too. It meant that she couldn't stay drunk all night and if he was stuck here for a while ten he would have to rely on the fact that it wouldn't last. Part of it would be to do with her physiology but it didn't matter. There was light at the end of the tunnel.
"I.. what?" he asked, not understanding what she meant. He was going to say he had to leave but her words implied something and he could figure it out but he wasn't entirely sure. "I have to go," he added again, this time he wasn't quite as assertive about it.

"it's always me darling. every last thing is me." she felt disgusting usually anyway because she knew her whole being wasn't pretty and she had an ugly personality and a disgusting. "don't lie to me," she said, being irrational, unable to think rationally because alcohol still clouded her brain for a few minutes. thankfully it wouldn't last long, even though she enjoyed her drunkenness and forgetting life for just a little while.
amanda wasn't trying to cause fear in a person, at least not now, because she knew how it was to fear things in the sense that he seemed to fear her touch and her. instead her motherly nature was yelling at her to take care of the afraid, sweet young blonde boy. but her now buzzed brain was still yelling to tame the sexual beast inside her. however, she was now able to push past the craziness that was her brain and try to seem sober or act sober. "sorry i'm not trying to scare you," she said honestly, "sometimes i lose my ability to control my words and actions."
"i wasn't being literal," she said, rolling her eyes, even though it was kind of her fault for using the words and she didn't really want to freak this cute boy out anymore than she was already doing. she didn't really know how to explain what her words meant but she was exclaiming her anger at her bottle falling. or well, it was semi anger at the falling bottle. and not a literal statement. it was just one of those weird things that amanda said and she was just exclaiming that this was unbelievable. "just stay? i wont touch you or be an idiot. guess we could swim?" with these words, and her motherly being, her hand went to her stomach and she frowned, tears fighting. quickly she blinked them away and let her hand rest on her hip and nodded to the pool as she took a step back. showing him that she wasn't going to hurt him. he seemed scared and harmless and so she didn't need to pretend to be a scary bitch. she already scared him being a slutty hoe. "It's not you," Nate said, not wanting her to feel bad about it but then it meant admitting he was flawed. He had a huge problem.. He didn't want to think it was so bad but if it was upsetting other people then maybe it really was that bad. He bit his lip, looking just a little upset about it. "I'm not lying," he told her. The boy didn't lie. He would never lie!
She was being a little emotional about it and taking it personally. Nate glanced over at the bottle again. It was gone now but she was still affected by it and he sighed, almost ready to give up on the situation. He was practically an expert on drunk people. He hated the way they could get and then they would act like they didn't remember.. Part of him was certain they did and that they were just lying about it.
"That'll be the alcohol," he told her when she said she would lose her self-control. It was what he did and he said it like he knew from experience. He sounded so certain that it was the alcohol that cause it.
Social situations were hard enough and Nate's first instincts were to run away and hide but she told her to stay. There was some distance between them now and he assumed it would stay that way. He glanced at the water. There were no pools or beaches close to where he lived.. Just dirty streets and drug addicts. "I can't swim," he told her, looking back up at her. He wasn't about to get into the water but he would stay a little while.. maybe.
She was being nice enough and she even stepped back so Nate thought she might be okay. She seemed like she meant well so he took a step forward, showing that he would trust her, at least a little.. Enough to stay.

"i said don't fucking lie to me," she hissed, going for the anger instead of the sad. she just hoped he realized to not take her anger personally and in a few seconds she'd be okay again. she didn't like to scare people but her drunk state was
"i know it is," she admitted to herself and to him because it wasn't really something that was much a secret. alcohol caused people to lose control and amanda wasn't any exception to that little thing. she was a victim. a sad thing to most people but she was very more than willing to be the victim of alcohol because it took the pain away. the pain of her mother killing her child. amber tumlin called it revenge. that if she couldn't have her beverly, amanda couldn't have hers. it hurt to think of the day she came home from school and her babies lifeless young body on the kitchen floor. with the alcohol slowly leaving her system, the memories floated back to her. her sisters body floating on the pool. it was an accident and amanda didn't mean to let her drown but what could a seven year old who wasn't apt at swimming do? there was the rape...then her beverly...happy smiling. then gone. just gone. taken from her by the woman who haunted amanda's every waking and sober moment. she pushed the thoughts, the memories and the sadness away. she held onto reality and onto the present and onto the cute blonde scared boy in front of her.
now, amanda taught herself to swim after that day because she didn't want to let another poor person die on her watch. she was very much determined in the matter and it worked. when nate said he couldn't swim, well she bit her lip. "i can teach you?" pools didn't just hold pain for amanda but good things as well. she didn't want anyone to miss out on something that was beautiful in its own right. plus he was staying and wasn't trying to leave and he even took a step towards her. she wasn't sure how she'd teach him if she couldn't touch him but he would attempt as best she could. Nate looked hurt by her yelling at him like that. He half turned away, eyes fixed on the ground, fingers playing with the loose stitching on his shirt. "I'm not," he said so quietly it could barely be heard. He didn't like people being angry.. It was generally a bad thing when that happened.
He didn't want to fight too hard to convince her. He had his reasons for not liking being touched which was fine but Nate didn't like people being angry. He was happy to let it go but if all else fails, he could always tell her the truth, as much as he wanted to avoid that, it tended to help people understand.
Nate was quiet, hands were buried deep in his pockets and he was half turned away now, not sure of how to deal with this situation. He wasn't the most social of people after all. Blue eyes scanned the water. He wouldn't mind going in it and he wouldn't mind learning to swim but that meant she would be near him and being in the water made it harder to get away.. If she touched him again, even accidentally.. No.. He couldn't have that. "No thanks," he said quietly, eyes still averted and not looking directly at her like he was afraid of her.
